CANCELLED March Meeting THURSDAY 19th 2020

The March meeting is on March  19th - NOTE Thursday at Federation House. (NOTE, not usual 2nd Friday)
The committee will meet at 11am.
There will be a free simple lunch at 12.15pm for members, guests and visitors.
The Guest Speaker commences at 1.00pm
The general meeting will follow at 2.00pm and ends generally on or before 3.30pm

The Guest Speaker this month is - Gary Raymond. 
TOPIC- Police stories with good endings.


Gary performed duty as an Ambulance Officer for 5 years then 33 years as a Police Officer.
Gary worked in Police General Duties, Police Rescue Squad, Suicide Crisis Negotiation, Detectives, Task Forces, Royal Commission Investigator, Terrorism Risk Assessing, Duty Officer & Senior Peer Support Officer.
Gary performed duties at the Christmas Day Savoy Hotel Fire Kings Cross, Granville Train Disaster, Hilton Hotel Terrorist Bombing, Luna Park Ghost Train Fire, Nursing Sister Anita Cobby abduction, torture, sexual assault & murder, Tess Debrincat (aged 9) murder, Newcastle Earthquake, Member of Parliament John Newman assassination, Thredbo Landslide Disaster, Sri Lankan Tsunami, Cyclone Larry North Queensland & Earthquake Christchurch, New Zealand.
Gary has been awarded the Order of Australia Medal, Australian Police Medal, National Medal, Australian Police Service Medal, The New South Wales Police Medal, 2000 Olympic Games Citation, NSW Volunteer Rescue Association Medal & Granville Train Disaster Medal. He has two Commander’s Commendations for arresting armed offenders.
Gary is presently the Chaplain and Facilitator of a Police Post Trauma Support Group & Welfare Officer for the Retired Police Association NSW, Parramatta/The Hills Branch. He is also Chaplain to the NSW Ambulance Retired Officers.
